Mission

  • The Lector serves the parish by reading from Sacred Scripture during the Liturgy of the Word at Mass which enables the Church to hear the Word of God more clearly and receive it more readily.

Activity/Explanation

  • To read and proclaim the word of God at Mass with clarity, conviction, dignity and understanding.
  • We are encouraging youth 18 years and older to consider this ministry.

Meeting Frequency

  • As scheduled by the coordinator at weekday and Sunday Masses.
  • During the pandemic only one lector serves at Mass so your required commitment currently will be once a month.

Meeting Location

  • Sacristy/Sanctuary.
